So riding about 45 miles per hour and next thing you know I'm sliding and flipping down the highway. Only thing I can figure and was confirmed by the guys that stopped and helped is my front brake completely looked up. I'm really worried about this because I DID NOT hit the brake for any reason.

I'm having the insurance investigate to see if this was a manufacturer problem because like I said I never touched the brakes will riding or have I messed with them while Modding.

Left arm is about 40% skined, both knees are bad, right shoulder and elbow both hands and wrists, gash above my left eye and nose.

I was wearing a non Dot half helm and some Oakley Wind jackets. My glasses saves my left eye, the lens shattered and the top of the frames were road rashed real good.

And yes, my hospital bed is Stryker. Lmao.

Sorry to hear this, but glad you are ok. Please let us know what the insurance company finds out. I'm sure we would all be very interested to know. Get well soon.

Glad to hear you're okay. I would love to hear the outcome of any investigation. I could understand a bad/locked wheel bearing much easier than a hydraulic brake seizing.

Thats crazy, glad to hear you are ok.

I don't mean to sound like ass, but I don't understand how the front brake could have locked up without hydraulic pressure being applied to the piston. Are you sure it wasn't bearings?

What mods have you done up front Jester? I did change out my front wheel and tire and put Full wrap Reaper Fender on. My noise is like a snap at every little bump.

Glad you're no worse off bro....scary how that happened. You def don't seem like you're just making up something.

FULL FACE helmets guys...full face!
I agree, completely. The instructor in the rider training course I took last year had a good saying, "All the gear, all the time". Yes, it's a pain sometimes to be wearing a full-face helmet, leather jacket, gloves,... when it's 95 F but the alternative can be a real pain, too.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I sure hope for everyone else here that there's not some kind of mechanical design issue with the front brakes.

As far as brakes vs front wheel bearing... not sure I was laid out they wouldn't let me up to look at it but 2 guys there said the front caliper was completely locked. I didn't see.

I'll have pictures tomorrow, I looked at it through the fence, rear fender flew off, and tank is wrecked, headlight, but I think its salvageable.

Honestly that's what scares me the most. IDK wtf happened. Guy behind me said I didn't hit anything heard the squeal and watched me fall.

11stryker no, I have only put the LM front fender on and removed reflectors.

Oh man that is crazy!!! So sorry to hear this but glad you did not get hurt any worse. Just remember to keep vitamin E oil on the scabs when they start healing to reduce itching and to reduce the scarring. I had a nasty scab from a car accident in my 20s across my forehead and applied it generously every day and it definitely works.
