So I'm pretty dead set on getting a stryker as my first bike, thanks to all you forum members who've managed to convince me I cant go wrong with this sweet beast. My girlfriend says show me the bike you want to buy..beaming with pride I show her the stryker, only to be hit with the response "its just not sexy" ??? she then shows me a picture of an R1 and says that's a sexy bike. Now My girlfriend knows absolutely nothing about motorcycles except that they have two wheels. I can admire sports bikes for what they are, but every rider i know that has died in my country has ridden either an R1 or R6 they are by far the most dangerous bikes to ride in my country. I will be perfectly honest I have only heard of one cruiser rider going down in the last 5 years, and its been at least 10 years since there has been a cruiser fatality. Sure sports bikes do look nice, and I wont deny that they are fun, but they never look or feel as cool as cruiser. Looks like i'm going to have to get a solo seat to go with that Stryker.

Well that's a no brainer to me. Stryker all the way. ;D She is right about the Stryker not being sexy, it's more muscular than sexy. But tell her like this, If she thinks your sexy? Sexy man on a muscular bike = Girls girls girls. So I wouldn't get a solo seat I would get a sissy bar and a spare helmet :p My wife said when she saw me set on the Sryker it turned real sexy.

they have a point......do get a sissy bar and spare helmet that way she cant
say you didnt try and include her in on the deal.....and if she feels that strongly
about it not being sexy....you still have a sissy bar and extra helmet for the next
one who DOES think the bike is sexy....I like Tobys way of thinking, and his wife.

Um... if she is just a girlfriend... opinion is negligible at best... if she is a fiancee'.... opinion means a bit more (depending on how long you have been engaged). If she is your wife... Brother... her opinion is EVERYTHING... all that being said.... good luck brother.....

I used to hace sport bikes R6, gsx600, gsx750 and now the Stryker and sport bike and cruiser are two different feelings. With the sport bike you want to eat the road, with the cruiser you want to enjoy the road.
if somebody tell you i have a sport bike and a i cruise on it, he is lying.
I decided to enjoy the road. And it's true, friends that used to owned sport bike are dead or injured some of then for life.

BTW, when i got my stryker i also show i picture to my wife AFTER i got it jajaja and ask: do u like it because is in our garage hahahaha.

If it's a motorcycle YOU are going to ride, then YOU buy what you want.

I asked my wife's opinion only out of interest sake. If she had said the didn't like it, then that would be her opinion. I didn't buy it for us, I bought it for me.
