So I just bought my Stryker, and was suprised to see that supports for bags ran so high for this bike. In addition, the length from the seat to the pipes was a bit on the short side, so I figured finding bags that would fit might be an issue. I had a set of River Roads "Classic Compact Slant" bags that are made from PVC and have a support frame inside that I had on an older bike - so I pulled them off, punched an extra hole in the adjustments, and tied them off. ( They have clips that fit like a charm to the stock holes and the back light bars)- and was surprised to find that they fit perfectly - an inch and a half off the pipes and plenty of clearance from the tire/belt. The back of these bags have a protective material that is stiff, so no flopping around.

Welcome to the forum bradley,

That saddlebag setup looks great. And it's nice to hear that you didn't have to shell out for the supports.

Finding the right bags is tough with the Stryker's stock exhaust. I'm planning to switch to a set of Cobra Dragsters so I can use a larger bag. (And sound like ****'s fury at the same time.)

thanks. I didn't want to go with a large bag - I just need something to slip a laptop, raingear, and a few things in. Honestly, these bags are bigger than they look. I have slammed enough in them in the past for a 3 day outing, ( including a one man tent.) If you look close enough in the background of this photo, you will see where I work, so I can tell you from past experience that the bags will hold 6 reasonably sized hardback books apiece. hahahaha....

I have the Cobra Dragsters and love them. Sound great and a different look then most the others. Not that the others don't look good.

I really want the dragsters but unfortunatly they don't come in black...and I have a raven stryker. Thinking about buying them anyway and if I don't like the chrome ill look into getting them painted

I've got River Road slants as well and am very happy with them, but swapped out to a Cobra slip on for a little more room. I also used a set of Easy Brackets instead of the throw over strap. Didn't like the way the strap looked with the solo seat.

Looks good on yours though with the 2 up seat.
