:frown::frown:Sold My Stryker. Sad, but was not able to ride it as much as I'd like. The position and ride was killing my lower back.

Going to the Yamaha Venture. Hoping the seating and air ride will give me more riding.

Still be lurking the Hottie on Stryker thread

Thanks for all the help with the Stryker mods,

Hope your new bike works out better for you! nothing worse than wanting to ride but dreading the pain that will come - definitely understand the need for comfort to fuel your passion of riding!

Did you trade in your Stryker or did you sell to private party? You mind telling us what ya got for it?

Good luck & Bright Blessings either way ....

Definitely two different bikes (purpose and price). I can relate to the lower back pain as sometimes struggle with this as well. I feel my next bike will be the FJR1300. The riding position was perfect for my back. Good luck post a pic of your new ride before you leave!

Hope your next ride works better for you. For me since my head-on car crash 5 years ago the only time I don't have (don't notice) back pain is when I ride my Stryker. The Mustang seat has way more support that the factory seat.

Paid $12,500 for it winter 2010. Put about $2500 in extras.
Got $9000, but had to give up extras and originals. Of course the $9,000 comes off the price of the Venture and I only pay tax (13%) on whats left. So that is a $1,100 saving in Tax alone.

Will post pictures when I pick her up.

I know what you mean with the lower back pain... Mine is not the greatest and after riding too many days consecutively my back is tighter than a (insert inappropriate metaphor here).

I’m not a huge fan of aftermarket seats, in my opinion they are way too expensive and they generally don’t look as good as the stock seat. I had the seat on my old bike, a Kawasaki Er-6n, redone by greatdaytoride.com and I loved the changes. They were very reasonable, $75 for solo seat $100 for dual seat, and the difference was amazing. I am going to send my stryker seat in when I go on vacation this August so I don’t miss out on any riding. Anyone looking for an improvement without breaking the bank should check them out.
