Does anyone have any suggestions on a solo seat for the Stryker? I currently have the Stryker solo seat that Star has to offer. I am not completely satisfied with it, but its okay for now. I have been looking around for a few weeks and was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions. Thanks and Ride SAFE!!! 8)

I just put on a Mustang solo seat on mine with a backrest.
I am 6”5’ and this thing has moved me too far forward, it was already a tight fit to start with. My sons all say it is uncomfortable, they are right.
The saddle we liked the best, was the one I have on my FJR1300, made by Rick Mayer, it is at Rickmayercycle.com.
I am regretting ordering this Mustang Seat and think I will see if he is able to make one for the Stryker.

i'm 6'1" and I have the Mustang with the backrest as well, I also have the 3" PCS extension kit with Kuryakyn swing wing pegs,I was having issues reaching the pegs when extended but when I installed the Mustang seat it threw me forward just the right amount. What I would suggest is ordering a few of these but make sure they have a good solid return policy in case you're unhappy with the fit. Everybody's different and everybody has a different idea of what's comfortable. Good luck on your search.

Mayer needs a seat pan to build the custom seats. I also want the backrest that didn't come stock with Yamahas seat. I guess I will have to eat the cost of the Mustang to get something Built custom for me. The Mayer seat on the FJR is so comfortable I have not problem riding 600 to 900 mile days, my knees in that position is a different story. I have a 36-inch inseam, and the highway pegs are no problem on the stock seat for me. The mustang also makes my head sit well above chin level on the Tall Yamaha touring windshield. I have also been looking at a replacement shield from Cee Baileys. I am looking at blanks for the Royal Star that is 24” tall and 25” wide. I will make them fit the hard ware I already have. These blanks are about $120.00 for the clear.

Here are a few pictures of the Parts Unlimited Solo seat with the flames. The seat is wider than the stock seat. You can see in the pictures that the seat goes overtop of the frame bars. You can get this seat with or without the flames. We did have to get the stock Yamaha luggage rack to fill the two holes in the fender. The combination looks good. Let me know if you have any questions.

I took my stock seat down to the local upholstery shop and they charged me around $80 bucks if I remember right to chop it and re-upholster it. It doesn't look to bad and it is very comfortable. I can ride it for 5 hours and be just fine.
