In the market to get a solo seat, and i am looking for suggestions. I looked at the Mustang and Corbin seats but they both appear to still have that extra piece on the rear tail fender, which i don not want. I also looked at low and Means website and it appears to only be selling the pan, not the entire seat.

Parts Unlimited makes a solo seat for the Stryker. It comes plain or with stitched flames. Its one of the option I was thinking about for my bike.

Have you tried to call Low & Mean? They still may be willing to upholster the seat pans they manufacture for an additional charge.

So i Called Low and Mean, and yes they are still selling the solo seat for $375 Plus shipping. Only question at this point is the durability and comfort of the seat. The woman i spoke to explained that the seat is not leather and that it is vinyl . I also looked on the Mustang webpage for the part number that was listed, however i was unable to locate, so i will continue to look.

Hmmm good to know was gonna get one. Its still not an awful price for a seat that sits 2" lower (at least not compared to some of their other stuff) which is one of the reasons I was interested in the first place. In their defense there are some really high quality synthetic materials out there, some are even more expensive than leather although I would be surprised if they chose one of these.

Anyone have a Low and Mean seat that they covered and can vouch for the quality of the material?

I have one and I think it is quality. One thing I have not done is take long ride with it yet. But others have and like it!

I have quite a few of their products on my stryker, and they are all well made. When I had my parts painted the guys at the shop made that comment as well. Sure their stuff is pricey, but just about everything bike related seems to be. To their credit they were first on a lot of those items, and they also ran lots of good deals through this forum to save us some $$.

I have to agree with 11Stryker in that I love my L&M seat and it seems very well made. They also have a rubberized type material if vinyl is not your thing. I had mine covered with it, and the closest thing I can compare it to is the covering used on sport bike seats. I think the big question is what you want your new seat for... more padding and comfort over stock, or a stock replacement that sits lower and looks badass.

If you can wait till next month Danny Gray will be rolling out thier Buttcrack Solo for the Stryker at about $279. I haven't sat on one yet but at that price I'm thinking about it.

Yea i can wait, the solo seats on Ebay are going for 280 dollars as well. I just would like to have some style and not give up comfort if at all possiable.
Some times dealing with Ebay sellers they dont accept returns or you have to pay return shipping. With the big companys most of them offer free return shipping. Its just a roll of the dice some times when i t comes to something like this when dealing with a Ebay seller. I guess i'll just contact the seller and try and get some additional information.

Here is the Parts Unlimited Solo Seat with the flames. They also make it without the flames. This seat is wider than standard and covers up the frame when you look down from the top. The seat is very comfortable. We have the solo seat on one bike and stock on the other so we can do a good comparison. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks. My wife wanted the solo seat right away so she never rode with the stock seat. I took her bike last weekend for about a 100 mile ride and the seat is very comfortable and looks sharp. The chrome luggage rack adds some looks as well, and fills the few bolt holes from the stock seat.

Thank you for the info -- I dug this thread up looking for a solo seat as well. The site looks like "Dennis Kirk", now, but the price and looks are spot-on. $330 with flames and a leather top.

Also sent an email to Danny Gray asking about Stryker seats. Well see what the reply is and I'll let you know.
