These bikes look cool bone stock! Thats why we all bought them. Unfortunately "for me" it's hard to figure out how to really make your Raven look different than all the other Ravens? We bought them because they are cool all blacked out so most of the mods are blacking them out more, and they still look alot alike?

Though, I wasn't happy with the light pattern out of the new bulb housing. So I modified the OEM bulb housing to fit into the new black Bucket. MUUUCH better!

The overall job is pretty easy. The hardest part is cutting the hole large enough in the back for all the wires to fit. I used all original factory wiring without cutting any wires.

If you wanna do what I did and keep the OEM bulb housing too, that job was PITA. It involved a lot of cutting and sanding.

I like the headlight it gives it more style where did you get it and was it hard to install?

Great looking bike. A couple questions..

Are those mirrors longer then stock? I tend to see all elbows in mine which prevents me from seeing back behind my arms :)

The Second Q, I see that you painted the Ignition and the Speedo to flat black. What brand/type of paint and what was your prep on this? Easy process?

Thanks
Chip

OK, that explains the high quality pictures...lol that camera is a little out of my price range... :p
There are entry level DSLR's around the $500 range. They all have excellent image quality (you just have to know how to use them ;) ) The real difference is in the lenses you buy.

Thanks, Chip! I'm actually not sure how long the mirrors are in comparison. I don't have the OEM's anymore. I can see behind me though.

For the paint, I actually used Testors Model paint just to see if I would like it. I highly doubt it will stand up to the elements though. Others have used High Temp BBQ paint with much success.

For prep: scuff the surface of the chrome plating. I used 120grit on an orbital sander. Wash it with mild soap and water. Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol to get rid of silicon that causes fisheye. Spray two primer coats on. When it's fully dry, spray a very very light layer of color paint and let it flash (a few minutes and just long enough to where you can see the surface start to dry). Paint the first layer and paint in rows. Never start or stop a row over your piece otherwise you'll get glops. At least two layers and youre done.
