Ok, there's too much plastic on the Stryker but I love it anyway. One think I want to change is the speedo surround. I've seen some good paint jobs on this forum but I don't paint well, don't have the patience to do it right. Anybody seen other surrounds that can be put on?

I havent seen any other surrounds but I was actually thinking about doing some vinyl wrap on it. Its removeable and you can get it in almost any color you want now a days. There are plenty of how to videos on youtube for installation of the product. Just a thought.

Send it to me. I'll do it for nothing. I painted all my plastic. It turned out well.
Don't be afraid of painting plastic. It's not how it used to be... Give it a shot. You can't ruin it. Besides, the factory colored all the plastic on your bike anyway..lol

I think there would be a ton of interest in CF. If done right it would look great taking the place of several of the parts. If you need a guinea pig I'm willing. I have no idea what the material cost or labor would be so I can't give you any idea about a fair price. but if the look is good I think you could find many buyers at any reasonable price

Im going to get the stuff with my next pay check. Im going to make a mold out of the current speedo surround and copy that one in carbon first before I try making a custom one. I figured there going to cost me around 30 dollars each to make and Ill sell them for what they cost me to make.

HEY LOW AND MEAN!!!!! START READING THESE POST AND MAYBE GET MORE IDEAS ON WHAT THE OWNERS OF THESE BIKES WANT... lol...

I have seen some kind of plastic stuff that all you do is heat up and mold it to your liking... i would like to find some more of that stuff because once it was cooled off it was pretty stout and paintable... probably could make all sorts of cool stuff for these bikes with that stuff.. ie; speedo cover, ignition switch cover, maybe even a cool headlight cover ;)

Ordered the stuff today to make the mold. Once the mold is done and Im happy with it I'll order the carbon to make the part. My bike is going to be gone on the 27th for a couple of weeks so I wont have it to try the part on but if I can get the mold done before I have to send the bike off. I can at least make the part and someone can try it out if it turns out well.

Awesome, except for your bike being gone. I'd love to try it out if you make one. If it works out you may be able to retire and sell CF bike parts.

with the cost of carbon fiber and the fact I only have the stryker and a road star 1700 at my disposal I dont think I could charge enough mark up to make a living. Im just in it to help everyone out and make our bikes stand out.
