Finally riding my bike to work on these warm 34 degree Wisconsin mornings , I was getting passed like crazy by everyone . My speedo was at 60 on a 55 road ,and showing 70-75 on the 65mph zone ,anyone else experience speedo inaccuracies ? I will have to bring out the GPS on my next ride but curious if anyone else having this issue . Guess I'll have to change my avatar from my ols TX750 now I finally took delivery of my styker !

There's issues with the raider like this.....putting a bigger tire corrected
it.....and makes it look lots better.

My 650 speedometer always read 3 mph faster than the GPS and my Stryker is the same way.

Very common on metric bikes, 240 tire on my Raider corrected it perfectly, I suspect that when you make the change from the 210 to the 240 tire, it corrects the speedo error too.

Been through a metzler and a Dunlop on Phils
he also likes the Avon best.

well low and mean put a 260 on........I have a 250.
What size is your rim?? 7"? or 7.5"?

I have a 7.5 inch rim. I see in another post that Low and Mean said that a 250 would be pushing the limits and possibly hit inner fender supports., so 240 avon it is! Thanks for your help Deja!

I think that is a safe start, when you start getting more
people with the 240 and then you see what clearance
you have with that....make a choice from there on your
next purchase.

Gotta wait for good enough weather to ride it to Yami dealer to get it done. Nothing but rain now, Maybe next week.

double check about lowering the Stryker wikth the bigger tire ,the larger tire will be taller unless you go with a wider rim , which will limit how much you can lower the bike

true, but actually not that much, you will dig the look and feel of a Avon 240 out back!!

Lowering and a wider tire will be a good combo on this bike.
