The wife was following me home one night and asked why I was driving so slow. I said I was going the speed limit and she said I was 5-10 below. So I'm actually going 60 when it shows 70 on my speedo. Anyone else run into this?

Yup every motorcycle is off. Im not sure why they do it. I guess they do it for safety.

Upgrade to a 240 rear tire & your speedo will be very close. None of my other bikes are off as must as the Stryker was stock. My Ninja 636, Ninja 650 & FZ1 are the most accurate.

Thanks for not busting my balls too bad... Lol. I did see the thread after I posted. My first bike and I never use forums so it's weird to navigate here. A lot of great info if you know how to find it.

To be honest the search feature on this forum is not very effective, it brings up too much unrelated threads.

My tires are stock & when Speedo... shows 70 mph it's actually 65 & @ 75 it's actually 70 @ least comparing it side by side w/my wife's 2012 car.

That's normal, upgrade to a 240 rear tire & your speedo will be very close & you won't scrap your pegs as easily + it looks awesome.

Seriously your ninja 650 was close? , mine was off by 10. My stryker is off by 5 max according to my wifes car

+1 The Avon 240 took care of my speedometer issues.
