Hi all, I just purchased a left over 2011 stryker in reddish copper new from a dealer. Traded my 09 ZX6R for it. Time to move on to more comfortable riding positions and easier passenger trips. I used to race sportbikes in the semi-pro circuit before I was laid off and ultimately joined the military. The wife and I are expecting our first child the beginning of september so I was catching some heat for still carving the roads with a "crotch rocket" from the wife.... she just wanted me to buy a cruiser is the more likely reason, she enjoys riding on them more. Can't blame her, the ZX6R doesn't exactly have a welcoming passenger seat.
So anyway, I've had one cruiser which was the VStar 1100 Custom midnight edition and LOVED it... regret selling it but I got a similar deal on that bike as i did with the Stryker so at least I won't have buyers remorse. I pick it up when ever I can get my insurance verification forms back ( MA requires stamped proof of insurance from your provider before they will issue plates ) Have to say I'm excited to throw my leg over a cruiser again, riding my sportbikes just hasn't been as fun as it was before I raced them I prefer to just cruise around lately and commute on them to work. Can't wait to ride it and start working on it. There looks to be a lot of good info on here from all of you on modifications etc, I like to tinker so I'm sure I'll be utilizing them and probably posting up my own endeavors.
