If I'm not mistaken the last digit/letter is the color and the extra C is for the Cali model

CAB=Black
CACB= California Model in BLack
What would be for the blue or red? And I think they did only 3 colors in 11 and that's the list for the 11 models. If it is for the entire line, isn't there only 5 total color combos?

My owners manual is for a XVS13CA, and mine is a blue one, shipped to Canada when I ordered it,( the longest 5 weeks of my life). I don,t know if this helps or not, but it seems to me that the owners manual is specific to the bike that you got.

CACL= Cali Blue
CAL= Blue
CAO=Red (orange)
CACO= Cali Red

Pretty sure thats they way it stacks up. As for the manual, they are all the same no matter what colour you have.

So I guess that the only thing of importance to those codes would be for ordering parts of one color or another or chrome combo or rimes/exhaust etc.?

Yeah all the mechanical parts sound be the same right across the board. Except the Cali models have that canister on the left side.
