There is a Star motorcycle rally in Reno NV. July 17-20th. Any one from this forum going? My wife and I are going. There will be all models of Star bikes there and then some. This is an international gathering, and the first time it will be held on the west coast.
My wife wants to attend because there will be more than just us muscle bikers on Stryker/Raiders there, and the Ladies Of Star (LOS) will be there amongst other groups of Star Touring Association from around the world.
We are members of Star Touring but not in a chapter because there are no chapters less than 4 hrs from us. But you do not have to be a member of a chapter to join Star Touring. Our membership was paid for by Star motorcycles because I purchased a new Star motorcycle, the Srtyker.

**** ya. A few of us local Star members actually are thinking of riding from Iowa to the North through MN, SD, MT, ID, WA, OR, CA, then on to Reno. There's another part of our group taking a different route, I'm still deciding which to go with.

Just registered! Decided to go the Northern route. Over 2700 miles on the way to Reno, about 1800 back. Going to be an awesome trip.

Dreadly, is that your route for the Raider rally in June, or is this for the Star Rally in July? Just curious, still thinking of going to the Raider Rally, which way are you heading down? I live in BC, and could possibly hook up with you on the way.

No this is not the Raider rally in Carson City/ Reno in June. It is the (Star Touring Association)s International "Star Days Rally" in Reno Nevada July 17-20th The first ever on the west coast. My wife and I we be attending. Since I bought a brand new Yamaha, the Yamaha Motorcycle Corp. sent me an invitation and paid for a 1 year membership with the Star Touring Association. This membership is not exclusive to any brand bike and is family oriented. Cost of membership is only $48. The Star touring Association has chapters all around the word. We are not in a chapter because the closes ones are 4 and 5 hrs away. But we may start a chapter up here some day if we can find enough members. Here is the web sight. Getting really pumped up for this. Only a few weeks out. 240 tire and progressive spring going on the Stryker tomorrow, a Memphis shades fairing next week.

We are hitting 5 of the top 15 motorcycle roads in the US just on the way out there. Can't wait!
