In January 2011, two exciting and unique Star Stryker motorcycles were introduced to the riding public by Star Motorcycles http://www.starmotorcycles.com/ with customization by Low and Mean Customs http://www.lowandmean.com/index.php. These motorcycles represent the culmination of ideas inspired by the celebrated UFC welterweight Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez http://www.fighters.com/fighter/diego-sanchez, who was present at the ceremony and received one of the exclusive bikes as a gift from Star Motorcycles. The other motorcycle is slated for use in an upcoming promotional campaign by Star Motorcycles.
Diego Sanchez inspired Chris Hagest of Low and Mean to create a bike to his exact specifications including a customized Karma leather works tan leather seat cover with the word Nightmare emblazoned on it, Vance & Hines Big Radius wrapped exhaust pipes http://www.lowandmean.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypagelm.tpl&product_id=157&category_id=103&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=60and an all-new high-performance air intake system with the Force air filter and LM Dagger tip. The result is a motorcycle that turns heads, stops traffic and not only looks great on the road, but sounds great as well. Low and Mean specializes in accessories designed to bolt on to a wide range of bikes including Star, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki.
The two new motorcycles were unveiled at the New York Progressive Insurance International Motorcycle Show http://www.motorcycleshows.com/to widespread acclaim. Press reaction was universally positive, with special recognition for the Low and Mean smooth rear fender and Reaper front fender that together create a clean custom look for the bikes and an unmistakable profile on the road. The unveiling event attracted media attention throughout the motorcycle world and was even featured prominently on the NASCAR SpeedTV site, providing more positive visibility to Star Motorcycles, Yamaha, and Low and Mean.
