I've got a stick of 1" and hooking up with the mandrel bender today, should have a couple of working sets pretty soon! My main obstacle is what to do with the speedo? Anyone have any clever ideas on how to tuck that in to a different style of bar? I'd s#!t can it if it weren't for the fuel guage! Allready ran out once!

Yah, but thats the issue, having to have a crossbar! The only thing I can think of that looks cool is the same design as stock(but with different measurements), or risers whith bars that shoot forward into points? Originaly I wanted a 1pc. flatbar with the speedo tucked below, but I think that would look bad?

Jon, that would be cool if there's another type of guage that we can use. The bender will be here tomorrow. The first sets will be 1 1/4" risers with 1" bars coming to a point in the front, with a crossbar to mount the speedo to. I'm thinking 1-2"s higher and not sure on the pullback yet.I'll be making more than one pair so if anyone has an idea on positioning let me know and I'll see what comes out. I'm bending all the tubing so there'll be a bit to work with.

The only thing I really dont like about those kinds of after market guages is the rear wheel sensor/magnet system for calculating speed/distance etc.
Seems cheap and gimmicky. Why not just make lead that taps into the speed sensor?
