I have looked through all the threads and I am still not sure if I can run the Dunlop 240 with lowering links. I ordered the Soupy's adjustable links so I can do various levels but what is the lowest I should go? I got short legs so lower is better.

Honestly that's why I spent a little more and went with the Avon over the Dunlop. The Avon 240 is .41" smaller in diameter than the Dunlop so I can run the PCS links on 2 1/4" without clearance issues. Since your links are adjustable I'd think 1.5" would be about the max drop you could safety achieve with the Dunlop. They're are a 1 or 2 small tabs that hang down from the rear sub-frame....you'll wanna grind those flat so they don't gouge your tire...I did the same with mine because i noticed it touched when i was riding 2up.

Metzeler: 240/40R/18 = 25.8" tall
Dunlop: 240/40R/18 = 25.91" tall
Avon: 240/40R/18 = 25.5 " tall

Over 250 LB load will probably rub. I run the Dunlop and PCS links at 2.25" drop with no problems but it is just me and I'm only 165 LB. When wife is on back we are usually just puttering around town. As long as I don't hit hard bumps it is still okay.
