I've seen a few posts of people asking about the sound differences from stock to drilled to full exhaust systems.

I got my Cobra Speedster Slashdowns on Friday, and installed them Friday night.

So I did some tests -

I downloaded a decibel meter onto my phone, and took readings of the bike. The bike didn't move, and I took all of the readings from the same place ( about 6 feet directly behind the bike while the bike was at idle ). It was in my garage, so I know there is the effect of it being in a cave, but I was looking more for the relative increase in loudness over the stock system. I did test the Cobras once more out in the open, and it was right at 80db, so I am making the assumption that the garage added about 5db to each test.

Stock - 70db - we all know how the stock system sounds, so I won't waste my breath.

Drilled - 80db - Noticeably louder than stock with a more hollow sound - I liked it but I wanted more. :)

Cobras - 85db - definitely louder than either of the two previous tests with a much deeper, more aggressive sound to it. I love this one - I was hoping for that classic big block muscle car sound, and I think I found it. :thumb:
