I'll gladly switch weather with you. Here in southern CA were having a heat wave. Yesterday was 92. I even went to the beach and hung out in the ocean. It's freakin' October!

That and I actually like riding in the rain for some reason...

:O our entire summer was 90 - 110 this year. It rained maybe 3 times the entire summer? It was great for riding every day, but with a choice of gear or not was lacking. It's just hard to know that soon i'll have to put up the Stryker for her first winter :(.

Yea summer was hot and I took my MSF class at the end of July in full gear. In a word: Brutal!

Have all the supplies to put her to bed for winter but will delay that as long as possible... Hoping to ride into November just not as with the same frequency as a month ago:(

Chicagoans(and Nogard you fit in here as well though a little south) are funny concerning weather. In fall 50 is terrible/unbearable but come January/February we'd be wearing short sleeves and sandles if it got to 50 and sunny!!
Nogard you've already rode in some cold weather from your posts so I know you'll be like me and a decent day approaches in winter you'll unplug/uncover her and fire that ***** up for a ride. Sure we'll be cold afterwards but that's what stiff drinks are for.

Besides a bad placed ice patch I worry about getting the road salt all over her if I take a spin over winter. They put so much on the roads they literally turn white.

I totally agree. We are just trying to squeeze every day we can to ride, before having to put them away for the terrible W word. :(

Yeah, that road salt is a b**ch around here. Never take it out with that on the road.

Billy, I understand about take the MSF class in the heat. A couple years ago, when I took it, it was scorching heat for both weekends.
