Well there's been some interest in the side mount brackets so I figured on starting a post here. I'm still refining the design and will post pics of the progress. I'm also working on a set of bars and will update as I go.I do everything by hand and in small runs, which also means that if you want something one off I can change things up as I go. After I get the bars figured out I'll be able to change the reach, height, width, and pullback for personal needs.
Right now the side mount bracket is $35+shipping and I'll have more info on pricing and pics of the bars as they develop, and I know how much time is involved. If you have any questions you can PM me or post up.

Just sent one out to Natedog in Canada. He sent me a nice drawing of the bolt hole pattern and plate size.
I just finished up some plates so I wont be making more until next weekend.

That's looking good. Had another thought, rubber grommet between metal to metal contact? Surface of the swing arm and the bracket tab?

I was thinking just a piece of black tape? Then I decided to just float the tab over the swingarm a little? If you look close it's not touching, just there for safety.
Yes I can see it, that's why the thought came to mind. It looks like you have bent the ends of the tab a bit leaving more depth in the center that would hold a tapered grommet or slots on the grommet so it could not slip out and if you hit a serious pot hole might help if there were any movement? Just a thought that is derived from the fact that I have some pretty nasty bumps and potholes up here.

I'm trying the first set with 1 1/4" risers. There gonna get cut down so the speedo will sit between them. The 1" will come across the top and into a point simular to the bike in Bangs post. I have been toying around with the idea of having them turn into gun barrells pointing out the front. If I go that route the whole bike will be getting blacked out and and the sheetmetal will be painted OD green, go with kinda a Army theme bike?

What is the distance from the bottom of the plate to the road?? I think I've seen that number somewhere, but couldn't find it. Looking up RI law and as long as it matches you may just have another sale here.

Ronin, it's @ 11" with a 250 tire,so subtract a little if your running the stock tire 10"? That was hard to measure, got my bars off right now made it real wierd to balance.

Nate, its just painted right now. When I get enough parts together I'll take them all in and do a batch at the powder coaters in town.

Allright, back on the bars. I got the plugs threaded, had to get a die they used 12 x 1.25mm. fine thread got to luv it. But I figured it'd be nice to use the stock hardware and have it just bolt on.Got the filler rod and picking up the tig tomorrow morning, I want these a little cleaner on the welds since your gonna be staring at them. This is where there at now a little fitting, and placement then just weld them up and paint and TESTRIDE! Not the best pic, but you get the idea. I'll put some more up of the progress later.
