I just installed my L&M solo seat and decided to take off the fake struts.

Without the struts the look doesn't seem complete and I would perfer keeping them off. I bought black allen head bolts to fill the holes for now.

What have you done with the empty holes?

Headwinds. They are halogen.

i like it better with. If you dont want them on then get a low and mean rear fender... problem solved lol

You could have them painted to match the fender. I don't think anyone has done that yet.

Concur with everyone else, makes the bike fender look unfinished.

Either need a new fender or paint the fender and do the weld like SR did.

I have a L&M solo seat as well and rode without the fake struts for about a week. Didn't ever really like the look and my buddies thought the same. Have them back on but am considering a L&M rear fender down the road.

If you come up with something else let us know.

Low and Mean will be having another Group Buy before the end of this year. The prices are amazing. I would start saving now and maybe pick up a couple things. I should be getting a lowering spring next time. the lowering spring and rear fender make the bike look like a whole new monster

Then you would have the same problem lol. You would have to cut holes in the fender.

SR71 looks good ... it's when the holes are present after taking the struts off that it looks unfinished.

I think that something needs to be there as it is way to wide without something breaking it up

Sounds like you are limited to just a couple options. I'd try painting the plastic the color of the bike. If that doesn't look good I have two sets of black struts.
