Yamaha has done their math by introducing a low cost chopper during the recession. Even before I put on all the performance goodies on it I loved my Stryker from day one. But if I was to tell the engineers at Yamaha what to do with the next generation Stryker it would be this.
1. 6 speed!!! F**k that 5 speed transmission. Most Stryker owners will agree that on the interstate you will constantly be upshifting to a 6th gear that isn't there. It would also help with fuel consumption and the vibrations that linger over the foot controls.
2. More displacement. The Stryker is a quick revving bike, but the gear ratio is too wide to really out run anything. Maybe a revamped engine with 50cc more displacement would help performance. It really is ashame that no manufactuer has made a mild cam to throw into the engine to achieve some performance gains. Most people on this forum have the intake, exhaust, programmer, but a cam would complete and compliment all those mods. Somebody wake the f**k up and help us with this.
Kinda of a rant, but I'm willing to bet any Stryker owner would love to see this modifications in the next generation Stryker.
