As much as I love the Dealership where I bought mine, I get the same thing. Occasionally I ask if I can take an accessory outside to see if it will fit and most times no problems. But once in a while I get the- "well lets look at the catalog and see if it will interchange". I will be the first to tell you that many parts interchange on these bikes.K9Stryker said:Well I talked to my dealership a little while ago and they said that the V Star pipes wont work on the Stryker. I find it hard to believe since everything looks identical.
You got my curiosity up so i had to go look at the parts cataloge. WOW that is F'ing redonkulous!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my first drive belt bike last was shaft driven and the others were chain. For that price the **** thing should be able to last forever or take itself off and put it back on.bigboi18184 said:I have yet to see another Stryker on the road besides mine, may just be supply and demand. Same reason only a handful of companies offer parts for these bikes.
Anyone priced the Drive belt for one yet....almost $800 dealer cost and $450 online cost.
Check tension and adjust if necessary every 2500 miles. Replace if damaged.///Matt said:Are you guys referring to the belt that turns the rear wheel as being $800? The same belt that the manual says to replace every 2500 miles?
Or are we talking about a different drive belt, perhaps between the motor and transmission?
If your owner's manual says that, it is indeed a typo. At the top of this forum is a link to the service manual download, and the service manual clearly states what I paraphrased.///Matt said:I was reading my manual last night, and I was shocked to see it says "replace every 2500mi". Probably a typo or error in the book, but it defintely says replace in my manual.
