Ok so we did our San Diego ride yesterday, Derek, Soysaucer and myself, first time any of us hooked up so that that was cool meeting guys on the Stryker forum. Soysaucer road with us for a short time and then had to head off to work, so it was just Derek and I at that point. Had a great time riding together, Stryker chasing Strker through the twisties. Here’s a short clip of video from our run, if you listen for it you can hear my footpegs scraping.

Wound up scraping the black metal bracket under the footpeg, here’s a pic of where it scraped. Derek scraped in the same spot too, we were pushin pretty hard. That was the first time I’ve scraped anything other than footpeg (neither of our bikes are lowered).

We stopped to take a pic up in the Mt. Laguna area.

Good times, hopefully we can get a few more riders to join in next time, maybe Strykerback & Krazymike from up North…

Nice Vid, Is that road what they call Big Sur? Looks like the road I race on in Grid2 and Forza 4.

11 – haven’t heard of Big Sur before. The 1st part of the video was on Sunrise Hwy up on Mt. Laguna and the 2nd part of the video was coming in the back way to Ramona (South of Julian). Doubt that means anything to you East-coast guys, but that’s where it was. Glad you guys enjoyed checking out the video.

Big Sur is about 150 miles south of the San Fransisco bay area on old coast Hwy 1, some really beautiful coastal mountain riding.
Really nice video Terry, thanks for sharing it. You should be ready for a 240 soon. It will give you a few more degrees of lean angle and a lot more stability in corners. I finally put Michelin Commander II s on my bike and they are awesome tires.
Loren pointed out to me while washing the bikes that the bottom of my peg mounts were scraped up pretty bad and in need of paint. lol.

Great video! Very cool to see some Stryker videos. How did you record such a clean vid? Would love to ride Big Sur - looks sweet!

Maybe it's just me, but I like watching that video on my phone and turning the phone with you through the turns. Now my daughter is doing it...

Great replies & comments, thanks guys. Toby – yeah I’m chompin at the bit to replace my tires, but I just dropped $6k into my 350z roadster so might have to wait a month or 2. I had a couple questions on the video recording so here you go: I’ve tried many of the record settings on the GoPro and the one that I feel gives best results for my application is the 720-60 medium. This is actually recording 1280x720 at 60 frames-per second in MPG-4. One reason I chose this format is it gives you the flexibility for Wide, Medium, or Narrow field of view. “Wide” is too much of a fisheye look for me. What you are seeing on my video is the “Medium” view. I rendered it out in these same resolution settings as not to change the image size. Glad you enjoyed it, GoPro does a great job in these situations. :thumb:

Thnx Boz glad you enjoyed the video.
As for the bag on the seat, that was my own creation. After looking through the shops I bought a tank bag and cut the side straps & magnets off. Brand of this bag is Cortech, photos below. I’m not a saddle-bag guy so this works well for me, the bag is the same width as my seat. As you can see it also provides some back-rest support. 3rd photo shows how how I ran a wide velcro strap under the seat to pull it down. When I want to remove the bag I simply undo the velcro and it slides off. Works great for me. One tip; if you wear a backpack then you wouldn’t want to use this bag at the same time because the backpack won’t be able to drop down to the propper resting place. I use both, just not at the same time.

Thanks SD. Very sweet job on that bag. Great ingenuity.

Thanks. I'm 6000 miles from home and not a bike in sight. I enjoyed the point of view. After a few seconds I even started leaning in the turns!
