Hey guys. When I purchased my stryker, I had nothing on it but the V&H Staggered Slash Cut Exhaust and when I rode the bike at lower RPMs it was choppy and would seem to miss. I didn't htink much of it because I knew I was getting a powercommander and it would probably solve the issue. I have since installed the powercommander and the Cobra Powerflo Intake, had the dealer install the map for those specific pipes and a big air intake, and it still runs like horrible. When taking off from a stop sign the bike feels like it doesn't want to really go and runs choppy (sometimes misses). Once I get into mid to higher rpms it wakes up and takes off and runs fine.

Has anyone had this same issue? If so, I'm open to suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help!

Take it back to the dealer and have them take a look. Are they Star Motorcycle certified? If they are let them figure it out....

Definitely check the o2 sensor. If it has an aftermarket exhaust, there is always the possibility that it was not installed correctly or they forgot to plug it back in... which would cause it to run funny.

I would check the mapping. Figure it out for yourself so u can fine tune it the way it runs best. It will also help u gain the knowledge. Noone knows your bike like u do!!!! Its fine to get someone to do the bigger more extensive repair or adjustments, but those things are usually just minor tweeks needed. Good luck!!

Took to the dealership for a dyno tune and they quoted me $250.00. Now I get a call on Saturday and they say since I have the powercommander V and the first part of the map is grayed out or locked, they have to do something special. Not sure if it's because of the bike or the powercommander, but now they're saying $425.00. I think it's highway robbery!!! Any one else have this problem?

I know this sounds like a lot of work... you should disconnect the PCV completely... hook it all back up to stock configuration... take it for a ride. IF you feel that the issue is gone... PCV might be bad. If you feel the issue is still there ..just different... it is your bike. if this is the case... there is a whole slew of things it could be.... one step at a time...

Since I put the cobra autotune on... my bike absolutely hates second gear at steady throttle between 1300-1600rpm... it feels like it is missing. any other time it runs perfect.

The warranty was up in April so I'm SOL. I'm going to call them and ask if it could be a bad unit. They said they called Dyno Jet and they were told that this is normal. Has anyone else had a Stryker with V&H Slash Cut Staggered Pipes, Cobra Powerflo Intake and a Powercommander V and had the same issue?????? They claim that the map doesn't allow any low RPM tuning or something like that. I'm going to call them in the morning and have them explain it again.

Double check the dealers work. Sorry, but I just don't trust them.

BUT, you did say it was running lousy before also. Have dealer disconnect everything, and fix original problem.

This is also a complaint even on new Strykers also.

Umm... just a thought... my buddy's harley was running kinda like crap when he installed his power commander.... he just figured out why... injectors were hooked up wrong. Purs like a kitten now. This just happened today. He has had the PC for a couple of weeks.
