Since everything is illegal in CA I am sure these are illegal here as well. I have seen other LED YouTube videos but never a Stryker. I could understand the blue flashing being a law enforcement challenge but having them on steady would add such a safety factor for visibility.

Most states if not all have statutes stating that you can not have red or blue flashing lights emitting from your vehicle due to the impersonation of emergency vehicles. I know in Oklahoma the the fine is $2500 or 6 months in county. I only wrote one of those tickets when I lived there. Most of the ones I stop for this is they opted for my leather man to cut the wire.

Some states have under body lighting laws. States I have lived and worked in really didn't care if you ran underbody lighting.

As far as white light the only white light that is supposed to emit from a vehicle is the head lights, reverse lights and tag lights. That why when the big neon license plate craze became illegal as well as it was supposed to mess with radar guns for speed detection.

I totally agree with the safety aspect we need anything and everything to help us be seen. **** I have LEDs on mine and plan on adding a few more strips. On the wheels it looks cool but I think it might draw to much attention from other drivers and could cause some problems.

That's my $0.02 from a rider and a cop. I say do what you can get away with. I for one wouldn't pull people over unless they are flashing. Lol

I have blue LEDs on my bike and from what I read, it isn't illegal. The lights CANNOT, be red, flashing red, pointed forward or so bright that they can blind other drivers . I passed several cops while driving at night with them on and they have never stopped me.

Red vs. blue would be a state by state thing depending on what their laws are. However, the strobe effect would be freakin' sweet on a police bike when it was running code.
