Since we had that thread on “trouble hitting 120mph” I decided to see what my bike could do after the Stage 1 upgrade I had done last week. So took the bike out early this morning and found a short stretch where I was able to do a quick run. The speedometer climbed well past 130mph and was still climbing when I shut it down as I was running out of straight road. It’s a bit hard to tell from this video because the sun was glairing on the speedo, but if you know the position of the 130 marker you can tell where the needle is in the video. Here’s the video I uploaded to YouTube:

Here’s a still frame from that video which gives a better look.

I’d like to find a longer/safe stretch of road to hold it wide open longer.
If anyone is interested in the mods I did to this bike you can see details at this tread:

"The following video contains stunts performed by trained professionals on a closed course under strict supervision. Any attempt to recreate these activities could result in injury, death and significant damages to people and property.... And you would be forever known as the person who died trying to imitate something from the internet. Don't try this at home."

KRAAAZYMIKE.. yeah I didn’t use the audio from the GoPro video camera, instead I has a separate audio recorder with a shotgun mic and a furry wind muff. I had that mic strapped to the rear seat pointed down towards the exhaust pipe. Whatever wind noise would have been there was replaced by the screaming pipes!

XVS13CAL … you put my disclaimer up for me.. love it!

Are you a photographer by any chance or videographer?
Good call… yeah I’m a professional videographer, anything I can shoot/edit from events I shoot. Been doing it for 20yrs now. Some of you learned on the tattoo thread that I’ve shot video for Jimmy Page & Robert Plant in the 90s, definitely a highlight in my career.

Sweet video... Can't wait for my vance and hinces to arrive in the mail so I can hear them scream like that. My pipes are still on back order (2 months and counting).

That video came out great. I am amazed how clear and vibration free these go pro cameras are. Seems like you hit 130 pretty easy with those mods.

Friggin Awseome video!!

I was actually thinking about buying the GoPro videa camera today. What are your thoughts on it? Any advice on exta's I should get for it??
Thanks for all the complements on the video guys.

UrbanRage … I actually just bought that GoPro camera on Saturday night to help make this video, first time testing on that Sunday run. I am very impressed with the recording image. To do what I did you would need an alternate microphone with wind protection. The GoPro has a input jack to plug an external mic in, although I haven’t used it. It takes an SDcard for recording but no card is included in the package. Many adaptor/connector parts are included, including the connect to the helmet I used in this video. GoPro sells many additional accessories, including handlebar mount/clamp which is not included with the camera purchase. Camera connects to the computer via USB cable, file transfers are simple drag-n-drop. Camera has an internal rechargeable battery that is charged via the USB cable when connected to the computer, takes about 2hrs to fully charge and I think it gives you 2hrs of battery power. Yeah I recommend it.
