I searched the forums but couldn't find any threads already. Anyone have any opinions on the Stryker vs. a Vulcan 1600/1700? I'm buying one or the other in a few months and I'm aware that this site is probably biased, but I wanted to get some opinions from people who have ridden both since the dealerships "don't do test rides" according to them.

The sales guy at the Yamaha dealership pointed out that the Kawasakis feel like they pull you down when you turn the handle bars. I could feel it when I sat on a 900 custom. It could have just been in my head from the sales guy though. Sit on both, move the parts, and see what feels the best to you. I kept coming back to the stryker, and that's how I knew it was the one for me.

I have only ridden 800 and 900 vulcans. But if the dealorship says no test rides that's bs. I'd go to another dealorship. The local Yamaha and Honda (havnt gone to the kawasaki one) ones have bikes to test ride. Call around.
