Hello, been looking at adding a windshield. Any sugestions? Any pictures of different shields on strykers?

If it's too tall and you have any power tool skills at all I've read that these can be cut down relatively easy and look straight from factory.

I have never done it myself.

I have the short windshield, it is the best of both worlds, gets a lot of wind and bugs off you but still gives you that wind in your face feeling. Tall windshields in my opinion just do not look right on the stryker.

Agreed, Tall windshield takes away from the chopper look!

I have the Yamaha Blvd on mine. This is my first windshield on a bike. I've done a lot of hwy speeds on I-10 these past few years and just that little bit helps so much. It takes a lot of wind off my chest and even takes some of the stress of my neck from the helmet getting pushed back in the wind. It isn't so big that it takes away from the lines of the bike.

**** my wimpshield is getting crushed on here. lol! i agree with you all it is an eye sore but i live in a terrible area for bugs, after eating a few looking cool isnt as important anymore. i do have it on a quick release so it gets taken off in town.

i got the cobra swept pipes coming my way, anybody have those yet? like the look of em just wondering how they're gonna sound.

No crushing friend- We are just giving our personal preference. You are definately entitled to yours. I hate bugs also!! Please let us know what those pipes sound like!! No one has posted a response on them yet!!

I feel your pain. Sometimes you just have to put crap on your bike to make it more ridable and cant worry about looks. I hate sissy bars, but I put one on mine so my ol lady wont pull us both off the bike when I want to lay into the throttle...LOL. Function vs Looks-sometimes there just isnt a choice.

I got the Cobra Swepts on order too. Ordered them two months ago and they just keep pushing out the delivery date...agrevating!!!

I have Swepts on my Raider and though they probably have a different sound I do not think you will be disappointed. I love those pipes and they definitely have attitude.

lol, so back to winshields, ordered the short 10.5 yamaha shield today as long with the highway bars in chrome and chrome belt trim. Cobra exhaust also. pics as soon as they get here!!! thanks for all your info.

I do agree with the bug squashing, nothing feels better than a japanese beetle at 70mph, i bought a full face helmet this year too, never thought I would like one, but when you get used to them they are nice.

Bug Squash better than Bee Sting and then the crawlers that travel around the sides of your ears! Full face the way to go. I only wear half helmet when rolling around town.
