I don't think that these 2 bikes are very comparable... The engine size are similar and that's about it. Totally different riding positions, our Strykers are nice and relaxed, and the Muscle your all stretched out with your legs forward, yours arm stretched, and your hunched over. The Night-rod and V-rod have a better ridding position. I've driven one, has a bit more of a sporty ride. It's pretty smooth with lots of power. I dig the bike it's cool, just not sure about that ride position for a long trip, and that price.... I think Eric Buell designed that engine for Harley while he was there, so I don't know if our bikes would be as fast as it. For the money we saved and the performance we get with our bikes, I'll take my Stryker over the Muscle.

I would have to agree with TOD on that one... I get googly eyes when i see the v-rod but for the price and the headachs later on down the road i would rather pass..... but now if i was able to get my hands on it for 8k or less then by all means go for it lol...... i would ride it for a little it but then would end up selling>>>???? I saw sone guy post up his M109..... That bike looks SICK!!

The V-Rod is one nice bike...the only HD line that would interest me. The price is just so ridiculous by comparison that I chose the Stryker for the moment. I really like the style of the V-Rod. I figured that I could buy the Stryker, mod it, and have my own version and same open road feeling for way less money.

I actually think the Victory Hammer S is good middle ground.

Comparing apples to oranges. Yes they are both fruits, but that's it. Everything Todd says and if I was going to even consider spending that kind of money I would be buying the Victory Hammer. Faster, **** way sexier and I would get to ride it, instead of looking at someone working on it. ;D

Two different animals. V-rod is quicker and more of a sport bike. Rode with two HDs and a v-rod last week, and it became apparent that the v rod needed to be in the back of the group or we would have lost him to the future!

i was originally going to get a Vrod....., but when local HD dealer only offered me 2500 for my sporty in trade, i weant right a friend of mine's dealer and laid down 10k on a crated stryker.

This reply may be a little late in coming, but I thought I'd share my 2 cents:::: I own a 2004 v rod and 2011 Stryker. While I love the look of the v rod and basically the thought of owning a Harley of sorts, the Stryker is more comfortable and has more initial pep than the rod. Another thing to consider is the insurance on a yamaha is less expensive. At least for my case. If I had to have one bike, and I probably will soon, I'd take the Stryker.

The day I got my raven(3 weeks ago) I went and rode a hammer 1st. In my opinion I though it was kind of a turd. She looks like a pit bull parked but I had a long wait to get my face to flap in the wind. I was about 110% sure I was getting the hammer til I rode the stryker then I totally forgot all about it.

For me, nothing beats a Stryker.
Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, the best cruiser on the market.
We're going to agree to agree here....agreed?
Hahaha! Agreed.
I don't think there'd be too many arguments on this forum.
that'd be true for most any forum

I personally would choose the Stryker over the VROD as well.
