Was it you?

I was northbound on country rd 19 at the stop sign on 80th street yesterday around 5:30PM between Cottage Grove and Woodbury. I was on my black 2011 with a custom sissy bar. I saw what I believed to be a red 2012 model with a chrome Star sissy bar. Rider had a flat black, full faced helmet and turned west (right) onto 80th.

That was me. New to (lurking on) the forum for a while. Got the bike in August and honestly haven't missed a day riding it yet which is why I was out there in the cold -- just getting in a few miles to count another day on the tally. Today is 65 straight days of riding... Some rides are short, but I count 'em all!

Welcome to the board and the Stryker world! It has been a bit cold lately. As long as it's above freezing in the morning, I'm pretty committed to riding. I'm hoping for another two weeks of riding....we'll see.

Oh, and on the St Croix Trail issue, that road has been rough for as long as I've lived in the metro (7 years). I know some folks that live on that road and some of their attitudes are that they don't even want the road repaired because it would increase the motorcycle traffic to an intolerable level. Regarding the stretch between 94 and Afton, I can't say I blame them. The road is loaded with blind driveway accesses and the speed limit is 35 mph for most of it....people treat it like a race track though.

I tend to push it a little bit too much on that road. I havent been able to find many good twisty roads in that area. If you know of any good ones pass it along. I feel like I have to go all the way down to Stockholm, WI to find some good challenging riding.
