yep saw this earlier. I would've done the same thing that cager did. Thankfully we can carry guns in Texas.
Skwelee - Before I even saw your post I was thinking the same thing. If I had a gun I would have happily shot every single one of them in the head. I hope they can arrest a couple and then have them narc on the rest of them. Even if they weren't involved in the assault, they were all riding like a bunch of a$$holes...especially the guy that initiated it. I would have shot his fingers and toes off, and worked my way in......I am boiling

...he should have ran more of them over....betcha court would rule in his favor.

I would give anything to see video of the ride in the 4 or 5 minutes prior to the brake check action. I would also say that what ever transpired, nothing justifies running over a downed rider. That is just murder. If you pay close attention, you can see the wheels of the vehicle go over the rider after it goes over the bike.
NONE of them were in the right, SUV driver OR the riders... there are NO winners here.

You don't have to see what happened 4 or 5 minutes prior. You can see how they ride during the whole video. You're not going to convince me they were all riding no more than two abreast in a single lane, and obeying all the traffic laws....and what ever else "nice" bikers do. Just look how they rode in traffic near the end...they just swarm around ALL the cars.

If that was me in that SUV with my wife and child, I would have ran over every D*mn one if I had to. That was no "downed biker", that was someone who was getting what he deserved. You tell me what the h*ll the guy in the SUV did to deserve what happened. He was in fear for his and his family's' life.

...and that was no brake check. A brake check is when you get some moron on your ass, and you want to get him off. The biker a$$hole cut in front of the SUV......THEN hits the brakes!! He was looking for trouble.

If my family is in the car and there is a threat to my children and my wife safety and my escape route is being blocked I am doing what is necessary to protect my family. End of story. I cant' ensure's my family's safety if I am taking on 20 plus guys and beaten to a bloody pullp or murdered in the middle of the road. Old saying, I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by six.

My point is only that there are no winners. The guy in the suv could have done something even MORE stupid and threatening and dangerous to any of those bikers before the video started and the guy got in front of him to stop him. He might have been trying to impress his wife. At this point it becomes a he said - she said deal and there are no winners.
There was a rider on the ground supine, he did get run over by the suv, NO ONE is going to report on this story accurately and there WILL be biased opinions.
There are no winners.
I agree with toby, if stopped get out and beat the **** out of the guy that dropped his bike in front of your car if that really is ALL that happened.
Lock all your doors and call the police. carry a baseball bat under your seat.
There was no reason to run over the bike, nor was there any reason to run over the rider, play it in slow motion, look closely just after the suv bumper clears the lumps in the road and note the legs of the downed rider ... right under the path of the suv.
NO ONE was right!

There's no way to know what happened prior to the bikers trying to coral the SUV. It would justify the bikers actions if the the SUV had already run over some one and was trying to flee. However comments from the article suggest there was nothing of the sort. Nothing justifying the bikers actions or anything pointing to what their intentions were.
Under the circumstances which the video seams to imply I would have reacted similarly, though, not stepping on the gas until a window was broke out in my vehicle then it would be on.
Further more I would have stopped at first signs of trouble and confronted the upset one without having to deal with so many. would have made it much easier to put him in his place. There is a reason why I do not carry a gun.

From what I've read on this these NY "bikers" staged some kind of shutdown of Times Square last year, law enforcement was ready for them this year and they were being redirected away from the area, I guess pulling a St Louis style stunt on the interstates was the only thing left to do for these thugs, did anybody else notice half the bikes had no tag?

This was sent to me by my very good friend (who does not ride) titled "I hate bikers".
So...thanks douchebags.
Personally if that was me and my daughter was in my car I would have run over as many of them as I could.

With me it would have never gone that far. The first guy that got in my lane next to my window, talking shizt, then pulled in front of me, I would have been out my car all over him like flies on shizt for putting me and my family in danger.

I'm curious to how many of you live in the country vs big cities. Your answer could be why you feel the way you do about this story. I'm still in the middle on it as both sides might have more to tell. Definitely no winners here.

Definitely no winners. I do know, I have a responsibility to two beautiful little girls to protect them at all costs. If it's between my family and a couple hundred idiots trying to impress their buddies and feel cool, no apologies, my family wins. I'm not saying anytime someone is in the way you get to run them over. However, there comes a point that, as a father, I have a right to protect my kids who cannot protect themselves, and I will do that at any cost. IMO
