Went to Chicago last weekend for Throttlefest. On the way back, we went through a little storm. My buddy's trailer swayed just enough to knock his bike loose. My recently mostly-finished modding Stryker got a ding and scrape on the tank and a scraped clutch lever.

Insurance will cover it, but wondering... Repair and repaint in store... Color suggestions? Also, anyone tried modding the tank to get more mileage or make the tank less... Wide?

That sucks friend. I did look into putting a Vstar 1300 tank on my Stryker year and a half ago, but the tank mounts are all differently located. Not impossible, but a lot of changing around.

Man, that sucks. You can replace the tank with a new one for $1k. That's not far off from a complete one-color paint job. I have always been a fan of black cherry.

I wouldn't mess with the tank. It's a big part of the look.
