With temps in the 70's today I decided to ride the Foothills Parkway and when I got to the end I made a left and rode the Dragon to Deals Gap and then back. I bet I only passed 12 bikes during the Dragon ride. It was nice being able to take my time and not feel pushed. Below are a couple pics.

We missed the Dragon somehow, we did get to ride the foothills and loved it! I want to go back so bad!

Nice! I'll visit those mountains again this year. Jus 3 1/2 hours away.... can I say I'm jjealous. I just rode 3 hrs to the outer banks, NC. I would rather hit those turns on the dragon...

So you got the ride in before the roadslides, i sure hope its all fixed by August.

There's been some pretty serious landslides in the last few days 441 from Cherokee to Gatlinburg is going to be closed for a real long time, part of the Cherohala is down to one lane but should be fixed in a couple months, 19 west of Cherokee is closed it should be open in a couple weeks...there are some bridges reported out but haven't gotten an update on them.

129 (the Dragon) is in good shape. The 441 slide is BIG and from the news reports it's going to be a while before they even start to fix it. We have had lots of rain and flooding and now we have snow that just will not melt and some ice on the way. I'm ready for 75° and sunny!
