Got home from work today and decided that since the weather is going to turn hot and humid this was my last chance to get the artwork done on the bike. Sprayed the base color on the rear fender yesterday. Told the wife to put supper on hold and worked like a madman. Got the art done and the clear on.Tomorrow I can start the final sanding and buffing of the tank, fairing and fender. Should have it back together for the weekend, yahoo!
I did decide while the bike was without a rear fender that a custom rear is in it's future but for now I want to get it back together and ride. Grabbed a few pics after the final clear coat. Terrible shots, bad lighting lots of reflections ( the clear is SHINY). The red and blue on the left side of the second photo are just reflections of something in the room. Although it's hard to see due to the angle of the shot, the graphic on the back is a tribal dragon surrounded by barbed wire. That's for you Patrice! I'll get some better shots when I can get it out of the dark room. For now I'm one happy camper!

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it was a long day but as the weather is turning hot and sticky I'm glad I got it finished.
Texastryker, before you start shipping the parts you better start sending checks LOL. I figure with the hours I've got into this one $7-8000 will be an adequate down payment! It's been a labor of love however. As the commercial states One of a kind....Priceless. Had one of the guys at work ask me after I showed him some pics if I was going to put it on a trailer and bring it in to show them. To which I replied "this ain't no trailer queen, I'll ride it in!

Then I can switch out all the hardware from the other tank and get that on. Should be back together in time for the weekend. I'm going to set up some lights and do a photo shoot with the bike when it's all done. (I'm also a published photographer). Got some interesting ideas for some nice shots.

Very talented. If you set your mind to it, you can do anything. Can't wait to see the photos. I am waiting for my hubbys bike to be completed and I have a few ideas in mind for some combined photos of our bikes together. Hoping by this weekend he will get the rest of his parts. :rockon:

Thanks primeral. I can't wait to see the whole bike together. The change to black really makes it look like a whole different bike.
