Finally got cold enough to start working on some Mods. Now I just need to figure out how far up I want to cut the rear off, put on the lowering kit, side license, and the run-break-turn conversion and she'll be ready for the paint job. ****, that sounds like a lot now that i'm writing it down.

You might want to take a look at these before you cut too high up. It may look better with the bike lowered and a bigger tire, but I personally think what SR71 did with his rear fender is the perfect amount to cut off.

I saw these Raiders and they looks a little bit higher then SR71. I'm not going to cut it too high at first, once it's cut and lowered i'm gonna put it on and try it outfirst see how i like it and cut a little at a time.

I've got the Fenders cut and rounded off a bit. Let me know what ya'll think. It's currently all jacked up since I have the shock out to put on the L&M lowering spring. I've also installed the side mount license and wow that was cake. I thought it would be way more difficult and was about to call a friend just for another pair of hands. I had it done in like 15 minutes. Hopefully the Yamaha dealership doesn't try and rip me off to compress the spring, if they do i'll try another shop or just by a compressing rig for 80 bucs.

I just got a nice chuckle from the yamaha dearlership. Called them to see about brining in the shock for them to compress and swap out the spring. They told me it would cost $110 , WTF I can buy my own press for $120. I may never really use a 1/2 tone press again, but 'll buy my own before paying them that rediculous price for a 10 minute job. Hopefully the guy that cut my fenders already has a press, I'm waiting to hear back from him cause I'd prefer free ;D

K ya'll I have another question and also looking for suggestions.
I suck at figuring out measurments. I work on computers so I don't know bolt sizes and expecially fractions, thank you Ohio public education :-\ Does anybody know the size of the bolt that is used to hold the rear/side chrome/plastic covers. I'd like to get some rear lights tha I could screw straight into there. If not I'll be drilling a hole in the rear fender to fit new LED lights.

Also anybody have any good suggestionsas rear LED blinkers RED to use as my run-break-turn. I've seen a couple, but would like some suggestions. Here are a couple I'm looking at.

The bolts on the side of the fender are M8x1.25 but I don't know the exact length (probably 40mm)
