Here are actual sizes I measured thru all my Tire and Wheel changes:

Unmounted
210 Bridgestone OD 24.750 width 8.125
240 Avon OD 25.500 width 9.312
250 Avon OD 25.625 width 9.625

Mounted Stock 7.5 rim
210 Bridgestone OD 24.625 width 8.125
240 Avon OD 25.250 width 9.125

Mounted PM 8.0 rim
250 Avon OD 25.562 width 9.625

Suprisingly almost always when mounting these tires the diameter stays the same or slightly smaller. Yes- I checked my measurements multiple times to convince myself also!

Nice, these measurments will make it alot easier to know for sure what will fit. Thanks for posting them.

I can't get height of the tire or width of the frame rails with mine mounted, but the width of the Dunlap 250 on the stock rim is 9 9/16 (9.5625) I didn't check it unmounted, but it seems really pulled in?

Yes, I think we are at the limit Straightjacket. I know that a 260 metz has been put on, but that was with a 8.5" rim.

Mounted PM 8.0 rim
250 Avon OD 25.562 width 9.625

Suprisingly almost always when mounting these tires the diameter stays the same or slightly smaller. Yes- I checked my measurements multiple times to convince myself also!

Update:

Mounted PM 8.0 rim
240 Michelin 25.375" OD/ Width 9.500"

Also Suprisingly that the Michelin 240 and Avon 250 on my PM wheel are only 1/8" difference in Width and 3/16" difference in OD. I noticed when I got my wheel mounted on bike that outer ridge of tire was still very close to my upper belt guard.

Michelin 240 on my 8.0 PM wheel is 1/8" larger OD and 3/8" Wider than the Avon 240 on stock 7.5" wheel.

I think DejaBlu on the Raider forum had her 250 on a stock rim and posted measurements on the forum here. I will have to do a search and find it.

Thanks! I know my brother Schimbo put a 250 on his stock wheel but he had the L&M rear fender.

Yes but Brother Schimbo had the Dunlop if I am correct- and that is a much taller tire than the other 250's. I still can't find where Dejablu110 posted her tire measurements, but I will find them eventually.

I'll try harder to find it when I wear out this 210 I'm on now. I don't know if I'll be going to the 240 or 250.

2ND Update:
Unmounted
Schinko 260/35/R18 tire 24.687 OD(1/16" less than stock 210)Width 10.187.

Should be able to run this tire w/2.250 drop with no problems!

As soon as I get this tire mounted on my 9.250 Rim- I will post mounted sizes.

Nice find Rusty!
I was just happy to see the 260/35-18 listed to fit an 8.5" rim :)
Now I just have to see how your mod goes and then wait until my 240 wears out. My new tires have been hiding in the shed awaiting the wheels. I'm getting tired of dragging them in and out to cut the lawn. But out there.....they don't exist to the wife
