Has anyone had a tire blow out before? if so, tell us your story? How serious was the damage and was it repairable??

Hit busted bottle running 70 on 2003 VTX, **** my pants and shredded front tire and put it into a ditch sliding about 50 feet but somehow stayed upright, just has to replace front wheel and tire, oh and threw away the pants and underwear

nope, and I don’t think I would repair a tire that had a blow out.

**** thats nuts!!! i guess i meant to post up any tire malfunctions??? i have a tire warranty and can get mine replaced but they have a tred depth minimum policy??? they will replace the damaged tire or rim if its damaged

Yeah I had one few year ago on my CBR 929 ... the back tire just blew out while entering the highway. I was going around 50mph when it happened. Not a funny experience ... Very uncomfortable for some reason. But I never fell that I was loosing it ... I guess the front one would have been worse.

I would have also sh!t my pants on that one..lol....

x2 on that pants issue.... I hope I never blow out a tire on the bike, That would be some scary moments.

Did 3 or 4 times through out my life but never lost control of the bike. Lucky I guess. But some one I know told me a story where he was a passenger and the back tire blew at freeway speed and when the bike slowed enough he decided it was time to jump of and caused the bike to wreck. They both weren't hurt bad but the bike was toast. And the guy that owned the bike wanted to kill him.

Speaking of tires, I promised my rear tire to somebody on here and he emailed me direct and I lost the email with the address, please email me again and I'll get it shipped within the next day or 2, got sidetracked buying the misses a new car
