I check my tire psi once a week, I asked my buddy at work how often he checks his, he said never, the next day he thanked me cause the psi on his goldwing was very low.

I can't say I have ever checked the PSI on my ZZR and I've had it for 3 years but I dot get it tuned up every year and I'm sure they check that.

check out your local dealer for some valve stem caps that show you the pressure. you just screw them on and if they are green on top your pressure is good, yellow low and red is way low. takes 2 seconds to look before you ride. front is 36 and back is 42 as you have to buy the caps for the right pressure. total cost was about 5-10$. you can split them with another rider as they come in packs of 2.

i had a set of these on my patrol car at one time... hence the at one time.. i had one break and it let all the air out of the tire while i was driving down the road... so if you get these make sure they are in good quality and check them for cracks often
