I need some input from some fellow Styrker owners regarding my thoughts about heading to a "bobber" influenced bike. Right now the only mods I have are all of the stickers being removed and some performance mods. I already have a chrome Cobra intake along with the Cobra Autotune. I would like to leave those items in place.

I am thinking of removing the following: front fender (and leaving it off), belt guards, tank trim (accent piece), turn signals, and right hand mirror (have to leave the left hand mirror due to state laws). I would also cut down the rear fender to a smaller size and relocate the license plate to the swingarm.

I would add: Cobra Drag Pipes as they are somewhat "Old School" looking. I would also add a Low & Mean solo seat.

I know this isn't probably the best bike for this style but it has the rake to the forks and in my Raven color I think I can pull it off. Let me know your honest opinion, good or bad.

Go for it, I think bobbers are cool as ****, check out the victory high ball, it would be great if you get the white walls

I love bobber style, I say do it. I still might take my front fender off. Have always like that, did not have front fender on my vstar 650 custom

Wow! I'm surprised everyone said to go the 'Bobber" route. I'm going to give it a try, I'll post pics after I start getting it together.

The reason I voted bob is because I think the Stryker would make an excellent looking one. I would go that way but it wouldn't be practical for where I do most of my riding. I need more fender to keep mud and stuff from getting everywhere.

I was at a dealership yesterday picking up a new helmet for my G4 and I looked at one of the Victory High Balls, if the price wasn't so crazy I'd have one of those, thinking about finding me a late 90's VTX and making a bobber our of it, don't wanna piss off the wife though as I already have the Stryker and I'm picking up a Vaquero in a month or two so a 3rd might get me into the dog house

hmmm, I would think lowering the front end 3-4 inches would be necessary if ya decide to take off the front fender for a bobber look. just to clean up the look

Hmmmmmm. I never thought of lowering it.

I'm taking off the passenger pegs / mounts and belts guards this weekend. I should also have the round tank trim piece from Big Rig Chrome this week and I'll get it changed out too. Will order the solo seat early next week. I'll get some pictures of the progress in a couple weeks as it starts to come together.

When you pull off the belt guards there's a big ol bracket to get rid of. You'll need to pull the tire to get it off nicely.
