So I went for.a short.jaunt aroind the.block with the wife.and.came put of.a stop sign isually she.is prrtty good at hanging on but not this time.i.ctacked down on it a lil more then I should.have.and she.slid right off the.back of.the.bike we probably were only going 10 to.15mph but long story short.i broke her back. She shattered part of.her thorastic.spine and has a compression fracture in her t 12 so needless to say I have not been riding much and I put a ***** bar on there now. So I guess mu point is. Make sure your passenger is.hanging on before you do something stupid. She also had.leggings on which did not.help. Very slippery. So dress right and b safe guys and gals. So if anyone wondered why I have not.been on here for a while thats why.

Shes fine just bummed.cuz.it wrecked.her.summer.and.she. Is in a brace for.3 months but iys funny how much of that a puppy will fix.

I always like to tell my passengers about my double tap rule. The problem with a passenger is it's hard to hear when your cruising and a lot of us like to get on it on a spure of the moment kinda deal.

I tell all my passengers if I tap your leg twice, that means hold the **** on. I then tell them if you get scared or need me to slow down, tap me twice. That way each of you know what the other is thinking or doing and you can ride safe.

**** son!!! I always worried about that happening on a bike when theirs no back rest especially when i have my son on it at times.... I know it takes the nice look out of the STRYKER but the OEM backrest has some nice lines to it and goes well with the bike..... Broken back from that fall.... **** that hurts..... Anything can happen at any speeds?!?!? Get well (your wife) and be safe out their bra!!

That really sucks man. Sorry to hear about it. My wife fell down the stairs 6 months ago and hit her tail bone hard on every step on the way down. She's still having trouble with it now. But its not stopping her from doing a 5 day trip with me starting tomorrow. Hope your wife has a speedy recovery

Yup can't wait. About 200 bikes going. Through the Rocky mountains of Alberta and British Columbia. Its a fundraiser ride for Kids with Cancer.
