5 days now i've had my 1st bike, the '11 stryker. it came used with 5000 miles, a cobra intake, cobra exhaust, and power commander. i'm honestly not sure what any of this does for the bike but i do love the sound compared to stock. I'm totally interested in moving on to a bigger tire but have no idea what the difference will be between 210, 240, 280 even? also what is the power commander good for and how do i use it? is it possible to set it for better gas mileage for commuting? oh and not that it really matters now but is there a difference at all in the 2011 and 2012?

like the title says, im new as can be to the motorcycle world, anyone who cares to pass some tips would be greatly appreciated
thanks!

Welcome, im not sure about the power commander stuff, but as far as the tire goes most people went with a 240. Some of us went with a 250. The 250 is what i have and you can see pics in my gallery. I think the 250 looks more BA plus the bragging rights to saying its a 250

Cant tell anything for what you asked but the bigger tires are bad a$$ looking. I still have my stock 210 and love it. I dont know if going bigger will slightly affect the handling or not when taking sweepers. But welcome to the forum and you will learn alot here. Maryland

Hey welcome and great choice in bikes! The power commander is only going to use more fuel if you're on anything but a stock map. There is no difference between the '11 and '12 aside from color options, according to the dealer I bought mine from.

Welcome & nicely equiped bike. What did you pay?

I have a 240 tire & love it. It fits without any mods, corrects your speedometer reading, gives you more ground clearance so you don't scrap your pegs as soon in the twisties.

Only 9000 and it had barely over 5000 miles on it along with the intake, exhaust, and. Power commander. I practically stole it in my opinion. I'm excited to move up on the tire size!
