I was able to take the bike out for a spin today with the cobras on it. I must say I really love the sound now. I kept the baffles in, just because I don't want the pipes sreamin at me...lol.. They sound great and with no fuel controller yet, the popping in very minimal. Actually the popping doesn't bother me at all. I am more concerned of running to rich and causing the internal engine damage. But like others have said, the stock ECU should be able to compensate for the time being.
Anyway…. I am extremely satisfied the pipes and the added throttle response is also a bonus. I would encourage anyone that if you are on and off the fence about buying the pipes... go for it, you won't regret it.
The installation wasn't difficult at all took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I would post pics, but I know that others have already posted pics of the raven with black Cobra swepts.
The only regret I have is with these is.. during the installation I spilled my beer on the garage floor… and it was my last one!!!
