On all my vehicles, I've always had an American flag sticker on it somewhere. I put one on the Stryker, but the Purist in me is having second thoughts. Should I keep it or take it off?
If I have to point out where it is, then I guess I have my answer :)

Not a fan of "stickers" of any kind. I don't see the point of having a flag either. I can understand having one of those actual flags on a little stick if you're going to a bike show or rally somewhere. Kinda like always wearing a name tag..."yes we know your name is Bob, now take off the stupid name tag already!" :)

to each his own...

There are ways of displaying the flag in a more subdued way. Ebay has vinyl flags in mono colors. A gloss black flag on a matte bike looks great. An olive drab flag on gloss black bike looks great. Never be afraid to show the flag of your country. Never be of the mindset lis it ok to show that flag?'. I say shop ebay for the vinyl monos and go for that.

I love the American flag. If u like it that is all that matters. I voted to keep it. The olive drab idea is cool to. I might have to get one of those myself. Got a flag hanging on my carport. You don't see near as many flags hanging anymore , remember after 9/11. You could not find a place to buy one back then. Never forget 09/11/01.

I like the OD green idea! But the one one EBAY is a bit large. The one I have on there now is like 2" x 1.25" so it's pretty small. I'm having a hard time finding anything in that size. I might have to visit a vinyl decal place.

I rock my colors on my vest, front and back, I say if you love your country and what that flag stands for then you leave that sticker right where it is buddy
Agree! I have to admit that I put this up for poll because I felt the decal takes away from the aesthetics of the bike. But I think a B&W decal or OD green might be a good compromise.

No shame in displaying the flag. Be proud. I understand the aesthetic you want to uphold. I like the idea of the monotone flag. Black or OD green. You can take it to a custom vinyl/sign business, it'd be pretty cheap to make. What I find disheartening is the fact MN had to pass a law that only American flags made in the USA can be sold in MN. It's great. But, the fact you import American flags, crazy. So how our world has become.

That's my 2 cents.

I have an american flag patch on my vest that is black and silver. It is fairly subdued, but looks great on black. I bought it from a law enforcement site after seeing it on a SWAT uniform. I filled in the silver with some reflective thread and it is awesome when the light hits it. Here is a sticker that is similar.

Overall, do what you want. When I see a US flag on a bike it makes me smile. I could care less if it totally ruins the overall looks of the bike. I just love the flag.

All my helmets have a small American Flag sticker on the back. Is's almost considered politically incorrect to fly the colors anymore. That's sad :( This weekend being Memorial Day I'll look out side my house and notice how many American Flags I won't see, what a shame. I have about 50 plus houses in my neighbor hood and last Memorial Day I counted less than a dozen flags flying. You like the colors,FLY THEM. God Bless America.
Not trying to start any political argument here, just my two cents. Keep the sticker no matter how bold or subdued.

x2. Having lost my son in Iraq, flying the flag is a no brainer for me and having a sticker on my bike and vest is my way of showing how proud I am of having a son who served his country proudly, and 2 sons who continue to serve their country proudly.

I am proud to be a Gold Star Mom, even though I would much rather have my son with me.
