The guys from the V Star forum are saying that they are running high 12s in the 1/4 mile at top speeds of 103. Some claim getting into the low 12s. And they are saying with little or no mods. These videos are what they claim is proof. How about some feed back guys and why am I not seeing those kind of times from the Stryker?
You guys with Raiders are claiming those kind of times.

11Stryker you are pretty open minded to not question those times. After all my research I cold not find any info or official records that backed those kind of times for the 1300 V Star. And they are saying it was that guys bike or the other guys bike. None of them have come out and said, " I got those times on my bike", even after I asked them directly if they could say that and produce proof and documents. The best they could come up with is those videos. There is absolutely now info there saying those bikes were stock. That's why I started this post to get some feed back and info from guys here that have actually run time trials on professional tracks to see what they say and think. The official times that I came up with for the 1300 was in the high 13s.

I agree, they can say they are stock, but there are alot of variables to be proven. They may even be running 72 tooth rear sprocket off a harley, or running a little "funny" fuel. Who knows. Hard to hear that bike over the crotch rocket he is dueling with, but what I can hear off it- sounds like the vstar is really high revving.

Ya I'm sure it has a lot to do with what you have pushing you. Like that time I almost hit that bear, when I got past him/her I would have liked to clock that RUN.
I love everyone's sense of humor here. But if any one can throw some facts and opinions would be appreciated. Knowledge is priceless.

I live about 45 minutes from Wisconsin International Raceway. They have open drags every Friday through the summer. I'll definitely be running a few times at least... I know that doesn't answer any questions now though.

All I can say is... All of those guys got me beat... me and my STRYKER... cruisers! I bet I can roll the 1/4 mile in 60 seconds flat! Not to mention... I have a KTM 525cc that I'm pretty sure is quicker than the STRYKER 1304cc... just sayin....

Seriously Toby! Some of the Raider guys have retrofitted a 72 tooth rear pulley to get more Umpp. same as going with less teeth on front sprocket. And there is some Funny fuel you can use to boost your bikes performance for short amounts of time

Ya I understand all that. So If I read you correctly you are saying there is a good chance they have done that to there 1300 to get those times? And I don't know why it bothers me so much. Probably should forget about it because I'll never get a straight answer out of those that claim that anyway. And I really didn't by my bike to race it anyway. And chances are if I ever get a chance to track it I wouldn't be able to get a good time on it without a lot of practice. But I do love learning all I can that's just my nature especially when there is conflicting info. So I do appreciate everything. Thanks again. And just for the record the guy that owns the V Twin High Performance shop in Redway actually named HPC, High Performance Cycle, when I mentioned that the article I read about the Rocker c vs Stryker clocked the Stryker at 13.28 in the 1/4 and I forget what 0-60 was but he said those were pretty impressive times. So given the physics behind it and all the facts and numbers that you guys have given me, gearing ,tire size etc. and all my research I'm pretty much convinced that the official records that I posted stating the V Star 1300 times were 13.62 I think it was, not 12.68.

Finally got the truth. They did mention earlier in the thread that the exhaust was modded and the air box. But he just piped up and said he forgot that there was a 16 oz bottle of NOS added to the tank. And I bet if he tried harder he might remember more lol.

Still a cool thing for me to see cruisers doing so well in the 1/4 mile. We have a 1/8 mile track and hour or so away from us where I could run my bike next summer, but I would want to put a Barnett Clutch in if I was going to do much racing.
