I can't believe someone has not snatched this up. If I had not bought the Cobra CVT, I would have took snatched this at the moment I first seen it!

CVT is around 500.00 and Constantly Variably Tunes your bike as you ride it and adjusts for every mod you do to it automatically. The V&H FuelPak is set up for a certain setup like Big Radius Pipes with BigAir Air cleaner. Does not automatically adjust, but is much cheaper 150.00 shipped to you. and will handle most variables to a certain extent.

Hey Safety. I jumped on the other one as soon as I saw it. $260 if you buy it anywhere. I had it on my last bike and my Dad has it on his Raider. It is super easy to use and gives you a **** load of points you can change with a simple up and down arrow. Never had a issue and worked great. As I said in another post, for this price you can't be disappointed. Vance and Hines tests these in shop by using exhaust and air intakes and gives you the reading to put in. At any point you can change given points to tweak the system. There are websites that users have that put their adjustments up so you can change them if you like.

Hey 11stryker, just want to pick your brain. I received and installed the vance and hines fuelpak over the weekend. I inputed all the codes provided. Now, at idol, once the throttle is initially opened the bike almost feels like it wants to shut off (but it doesn't). In other words, my throttle is not responding like it did when stock. When I took it for a ride I can definitely feel the difference with the power for the better. I am thinking maybe this is due to not having a high performance air intake. Any thoughts???

I also ordered the Kuryakyn Hypercharger and the adapter kit over the weekend. So I am patiently awaiting its arrival.

Yes, I think you are right. Get the Hypercharger on and then I bet all will be OK. Fuel pak is set up for Big air in and Big air out. All you have is the air out right now.

Hey Safety, got mine on Friday, but won't be till the spring till I install. Two things come to my mind. FuelPak with neither a new air intake or exhaust might be pissing off the Stryker. This may all be corrected with either install.

But the other is Mode 21 throttle position. You may want to try it again. Make sure the bike is not running when you do this. Bring throttle all the way up and bring it all the way back. Don't let go of the throttle when doing this. Read info below.

Modes 21 and 22 are diagnostic modes. Mode 21 shows you the current throttle position. The value at mode 21 should read 0 with your hand off the throttle and immediately start scrolling up (1,2,3…) as you twist the throttle open and should climb all the way to 99 at wide open throttle. If it does not do this, go to mode 19 and roll the throttle all the way open then roll it all the way shut by hand, do not let it shut by itself. Go back to mode 21 and re-verify. Mode 22 shows the current engine rpm. Start the engine and go to mode 22. A warm engine will idle between 900-1200 rpm which should show up as a 9-12 in mode 22. the rpm reading should follow the engine rpm as it goes up and down.

Hey MyLife, thank you very much for the information. So, this should be done with the key turned on and the handlebar switch on but the engine should not be running correct?

Yup you got her now. First time I did it on my other bike I had the bike running. Didn't go all the way because I was red lining her. Could n't understand how it was done. Then did a search at Fuelpak and they explained it. This is just to make sure the fuelpak knows your throttle range. Made all the difference and I didn't freak out thinking I was going to blow something. Its one of those guy things. "Never read instructions fully. Never admit to it being your fault" ;D Go to the website. Has some good info.

Hey MyLife, your information was extremely useful! The modes did not match up with the information on the site so I did a little digging around and I found exactly the information you provided but it states the mode is 52 for the throttle response for the fuelpak (LCD) model. The link is http://www.fuelpakfi.com/fpmlookup_lcd_revb.php and its about half way down the page. I thought this might help you out also. Now, I did what you stated but used mode 52 and it does begin on 0 but only reaches 96. I am not sure what this means. When I go to mode 19, it doesn't do anything, it is set at value 8 and doesn't move unless I manually change it +/-.

In addition, I noticed that the codes on the website only reach mode 49 but my fuelpak reaches 56 modes. Am I missing something?

OK good to know. We have the newest software version and design (my other FuelPak was like the older style), so it does say these mode numbers change depending on what you have. Because I can't do anything to my bike till spring (Dam Snow) I'll have to wait. Fuelpak did get back to me with the map settings I requested yesterday. Very fast response and gave me a telephone number if I wanted to speak to a Tec. Because I'm holding off on my exhaust for now I requested a map for Cobra air intake with original exhaust. Map # FB-4224. When I can afford the 2 into 2, I'll request a new map. I'm guessing that if you only got to 96 on the throttle you may want to try again, or maybe you need to adjust the throttle cable to hit 99. Here's the Tec. phone number if you want to ask. 562-921-0071 EXT. 166

Awesome, I did talk to them and they told me that the cause of this is my baffles being completely removed. No back pressure! They said the air intake might help out a bit but not to be disappointed if it does not fix it completely. Its really not a big deal, it is just my OCD acting up! lol Like I said earlier, I can definately feel the difference! ;D

I appreciate all your help and I'll keep you posted on any new developments! Thanks again!
