i have two quick questions if anyone can please answer them. if i put the vance and hines twin slash staggered pipes, will i need to use a different sensor or can i use the same that came with the original pipes?

also, when i install the vance and hines, will i need to buy the fuel pak kit or is it really not neccesary?

First of all good luck getting your pipes. I ordered my V&H Twin Slash Staggered black last month and the shipping ETA from V&H is the end of this month. IMO if you are getting the pipes you should consider adding the air intake & power commander, this will really open up the Stryker.

I love my Twin Slash pipes!! Use the same O2 sensor... pay close attention to the front manifold head nut.... make sure it is torqued properly!!! If not you will get an exhaust air leak.... annoying to say yhe least!

OK... update to my Twin Slash pipes... As I was riding home today I noticed a "Rattle" when I did a hard decel... I could not pin point the source while riding... Once home I started tapping the exhaust with my fist , thinking it might be a loose bolt or something... I tapped the bottom pipe about in the middle and... Rattle rattle it went... I looked in and to my dismay... the baffle welds were broken and it was kinda bouncing around in the pipe! AAAHHHRRRGGG!!!!! Not a huge deal, but it might be painful taking them out and either re-welding or getting new ones ($29.99 from V&H). I wrote V&H explaining the situation to them... will let you all know what they say....

OK... so I got the baffle out... little Pain in the @$$... 1 allen screw and a homemade long hook... and a whole bunch of patience... BLAM!! it slid out!!! Couple of spot welds and it is good as new!!! If anyone is curious... the ONLY difference between the stock and competition baffles.... there is fiberglass packing around the stock ones.... that is it!! Went to the dealer today and he showed me the competition ones... Of course they are all the same price... but if you want more sound... just remove the packing! I AM BACK ON THE ROAD!!!!

I order my twin slash 3 days ago and tracking number says it will be delivered today so hyped thank god for the small shops
Hey check your pipes carefully when they arrive. Somebody on this forum posted a thread a few weeks ago that their Twin Slash Staggered had a broken weld inside the baffle that gave a bad rattle sound. My Twin Slash Staggered arrived last week with the rest of the mod parts but not yet installed because the 1 guy in the shop that is qualified to run their dyno is back east racing on the circuit and won’t return until Monday. Keep in mind I paid for my parts 2 months ago and have been hung up by V&H backorder. I’m itchin to complete the mods!

Your profile does not state where you live, but if you are in California I recommend you keep all your stock pipes/emissions etc.. just in case Cal starts requiring bikes to be smog checked from let’s say the year 2005 on. Probably won’t happen retroactive like that but I’m keeping my stock equipment for a few years just to be on the safe side.
