I have just recently purchased a Kuryakyn lighted curved vertical side mount license plate holder.

I have looked at my bike for two days thinking about how I am going to install this and I cannot come up with anything. The adapter could help me out a little bit but there is no where I can install it. This is driving me crazy!!!! I have looked at all the side mount plate holder discussions and still have no idea what to do. PLEASE HELP!!

Not a good mount... Sorry, I think the lower bolt will get in the way of the belt and shorten the life of it.
I mentioned this due to the fact it is for a Kuryakan vertical side mount plate. This is their suggestion.

thanks for all the suggestions. I think I am just going to return it and get something different. I have scratched my brain over this for way to long. The mount to the belt cover and swing arm is a good idea but I tried something along that lines and it was just too sketchy for me. The weight would be a problem I feel. Tapping out the axle bolt is a great idea but I don't want to mess it up during the process to much at risk there. I appreciate the help though!

Not sure if its any help but I have a side mount plate that actually uses a threaded stud that goes all the way through the axel. On one side is a pretty stainless acorn nut and the other just a regular locking nut. (Hidden by my mount) sorry I don't have any photos on my new phone.

If you are willing to be patient for a little bit, Straightjacket makes horizontal and vertical mounts. He may take a little bit, but they are custom made for our bikes. Some of the members already have them, and I have contacted him as well. Give him a pm and be patient with him, if you want to!! :)

Straightjacket's side mounts are great. He makes several different types. I have the one that does not require the axle to be removed to put it on. It slips on via a slot. Just loosen up the nut a few turns and slide it on and torque it back down.

I did the same wyntres. I've contacted SJ last week he's up and about here and there. Can't wait toll he gets going again. That holder that wraps behind the belt can't be beat..
;). Awesome!!! It is nice that we can support the fabrication guys that have/had Strykers and are on this forum.
