Read the specs, sound like quite a nice package. Wonder how it handles? Have you test rode one yet?

I've ridden all of victorys bikes and they are nice riding machines.
OHC just like the stryker so power will be a little late but it will be there.
The ride on the hammer will be very close to the stryker. If thats what u want, buy it.
More times than not, we buy a second bike because it's totally different than our current bike.
Just be aware of this and you'll find what you want.
Also, go to victory's website and see if the Demo Days Tour is coming near you. Our local dealership has demo days April 28th. You can test drive their entire lineup all day long. The tour leaders let you beat the piss out of them and are nice guys. They will give you a thousand buck voucher toward purchasing a new victory in the next 30 days. This will be my 3rd year in a row participating.

A second bike for me would definately be a Warrior. That hammer looks very close to a Warrior.

I think the victory 8 balls are sweet looking bikes. When I was looking for a new bike. I had my eye on those and the stryker.the dealer asked me if I wanted to pay victory prices or yamaha prices. I'm extremely happy in the choice I made with my stryker. But if I had the extra cash I would have taken a much harder look at a victory. Doesn't hurt it's part of a MN company either. Would like to ride one sometime.

Good choice. Have test ridden before and it was very nice. Contemplating another cruiser myself, and
currently leaning toward the Triumph Thunderbird Storm. It's look is unique and is a sweet ride. I think
I need a bigger garage........

The Storm was the bike I went back-and-forth with before going with the Stryker. I loved it, just didn't like the price. And after a conversation with the dealer's parts manager regarding delivery times and overall availability, I had to stay Yamaha. Not to mention, Triumph dealers aren't as numerous across the country as Yamaha dealers, making a long trip a potential longer, more expensive one! But man was that bike sweet-looking and smooth-riding!! If you got the $$, go for it!!

Some great replies. given me a lot of insight as to the possibility of a second bike.

Bane, that's a great picture of the Hammer next to your Stryker. i think you have me contemplating putting a heat wrap on my pipes now. that looks pretty sick. anyways, have you personally gotten to ride that Hammer yourself and if so can you tell me the differences in your opinion?

I had wanted a Vegas 8ball all last summer, but no close dealers ever had one on the, floor when I went looking. One dealer had a left over 09 maroon Vegas I liked but was unwilling to negotiate off of sticker. Probably explained why it was unsold. I took a used 06 hammer for a ride and liked it but thought it was too much bike for me at the time. I lucked into the Stryker when I responded to an alarm at the Yamaha dealer and found an open door. Clearing the inside I saw the raven when the manager showed up I asked some questions and said ok see you tomorrow when your open. Went in and put $ down. I like the victory bikes and am planning on a cross roads or cross country in a few years

Wow, just saw one of these in person last night at a bar we rode to. First bike I've been envious since I bought my Stryker......did make me feel better that he was checking out my Stryker tho. It looks like a single rider bike......would make a great second bike someday.
