Hey folks, I need the little black plate under the lower triple tree, it's held by two 8mm bolts. That piece serves no purpose, it doesn't hold anything together nor is it needed, it is there to help assembly of the bike. It is part #13 in this link.

I thought it was determined that part did have a function. Others have said it directs the air flow down towards the radiator.. is that not true?
