Took the Stryker to a local bike meet tonight. It was only 10 degrees C so we wrapped up warm. The inevitable happened and we got rained on a bit.
Didn't detract from the enjoyment though. I need to get some miles in. Done 390 now. Hoping to do a few more this week to get her up to the first oil change.

I am pretty sure I hit the 600 miles just yesterday. I went ahead and did the 1 month service instead of 600 miles. It just was taking me forever to get to 600 with all the cold.

I live near a theme park called Camelot. Really wish it only rained at night. Would be a dream.

Hey Jan glad to hear you are getting so saddle time. Rain or shine you need all the experience you can get on that Stryker before you hit the states. Loren and I,(my wife), got out on Sunday for a 100 mile ride. First time in almost 2 months. She need to get some saddle time in too before we hit the road this summer. She only has about 5,000 miles total riding experience and less than 4,000 of that is on her 950. The weather was beautiful 70+ degrees, snow melting, waterfalls everywhere. It was nice to be able to wear one pair of pants and a jacket over a t-shirt and go. A lot of deer out and oh bugs/whops butterflies etc.

Nice pics Toby. I have been riding for 11 years now since I went back to biking. I still feel like a learner everytime I go out though and am very wary of other road users. I love to open up on an open clear road but there aren't many of them here. When I got on the Stryker again last night with my new seat it took me a while to get used to it again. I need a long ride really.
I only had my midnight Star a year and got used to that. Before that I had my 1100 v star for 8 years.

Gonna go out again at weekend to get my bike up to the 600 mile service. Need to change the oil and filter and then do it again before we ship the bikes over in July. ;D

Jan from what I'm hearing there's going to be a convoy leaving out of Elberton headed to Maggie Valley...if everyone that says they riding up from there shows up.

If you don't break in your bike before you come to the states, you can get it done on the ride to Maggie. From Brunswick, it is 425 miles via Augusta. See you in Elberton, we'll have at least 11 bikes and maybe(?) a couple of cars.

I will get it to 600 this weekend. Planning a ride to an accessories shop 90 miles away. It will definitely be broken in on the way to the port for shipping as well. It is about 300 miles to the South coast for us.

Sounds exciting. Convoy! ;D

If all their plans go right they should be leaving Brunswick on July 30th spending the night in Augusta and then meeting up with the other riders in Elberton the next day for Rally in Maggie Valley.
